Dear World Peace Archive,

World War II could of been prevented if the allied powers would of not let Germany and japan take over territories. Also their could of been lesser punishment for Germany after World War II. Many other reasons are going to be listed below, including actions that the allies could of taken to prevent the war.

The treaty of Versailles was way to hard on the German economy. If their were less reparations then the country would not of gone into a major depression. The United States should not of allowed such a large debt that the country had to pay. The hardships that the people payed were being consoled by the Nazis military group which promised freedom and wealth.

The Nazi military was growing. Alliances with Japan and Italy were made. The United States government should of stepped in and prevented these treaties and alliances from being made. The German government violated the treaty of Versailles by invading the Rhineland. They said that the they wanted to unite the German speaking people. Even though in was a direct violation of the treaty of Versailles.

In 1938 Neville Chamberlain met with Adolf Hitler. They signed the Munich Agreement. All it was saying that the German Government was not allowed to take back any more of their land. The British thought that this agreement would end the conflict. All that it really did was let Germany get prepared for invading Poland. The U.S. should of taken control of the situation then.

The surprise attack on Pearl Harbor could of been avoided if the U.S. would not of put their pacific fleet in one base. On December 7, 1941 the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. This brought the U.S. into war. Before this happened the Japanese were peaking peace. The U.S. should of been ready for anything. There was unnessary death that day.

In conclusion I conclude that some or most of the war could of been prevented.
Also that all these little things came together as World War II. Which I think could of been prevented.
